In order to issue an energy certificate, technical documentation and an architectural photograph of the property are required, and the energy audit and certification can only be carried out by a person authorized by the Ministry of Construction and Spatial Planning. The certificate is valid for 10 years.
It is not necessary to prepare a certificate for temporary buildings whose term of use is two years or less, as well as for industrial buildings, workshops or agricultural buildings. It is also not necessary to create a certificate for a residential building that is used less than four months a year, as well as for a residential buildings smaller than 50 m².
